Week End # 2

With the Pro-Am mixing it up on Saturday... and the Full Gate Racing on Sunday... Fun was had by all those that raced this past weekend in Abbotsford! Big shout out to Tory Nyhaug who took first in the 14 and over Pro Am and not to be out done, Ryan Tougas took first in the 13 and under. The competition in each of these groups is fierce, and the racing so exciting. It is awesome to see such a mix of ages all competing for a place in the main. Sunday brought on the always exciting Full Gate Racing and Pit Bikes. The Pit bike classes seem to be getting bigger, but there is always room for more. So get out your pit bike and come out and race for the Pit Bike Champion Jersey!!!

Lest we Forget....

We at Abbotsford BMX want to take a moment to Remember all those who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces.

Back by Popular Demand... FULL GATE RACING

What is Full Gate Racing???

Modeled after the Australian probikx, champbikx, Dynamite and Crackerjack race series, the program is designed to promote the development of athletes by having them racing against a large group of athletes of different ages and abilities.  On the full gate racing Sunday the only classes available will be:

Dust Bunnies - 6 and under
Speed Demons - 7 - 9
Land Rockets - 10 - 13
Jet Setters - 14 and Over
Dust Busters  - Male Cruiser
lazing Beauties - Female Cruiser ***New Class for 2013/14

With the limited amount of classes available athletes will have to contend with more racers on the track and the possibility having to qualify for finals and semifinals. Secondly, if an athlete wins their class more than once they will be moved to a higher class to further challenge their abilities. Random prizes awarded each race.
