WHAT IS BMX RACING????
BMX racing is a one lap race around the
track with three to eight riders of the same age and skill. Three races
per
meet, for points and place stickies. Anyone can join any race meet and come as
often as they like.
A
Cycling BC Membership is needed
and race fee is $5 per outdoor race, and $10 to $12 per indoor race.
You need
long pants, long sleeves, and full-face helmet. All ages can compete from age 2 to age 60. Our club holds BMX
races
most Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons. Every Monday night is free gate practice and coaching for $5
starting
around 6:30. Outdoor season runs from April to October. And indoor races and practices from November through
February according to our schedule. Riders need to race 8 regular district point races to qualify for year-end awards.
BMX is a great family sport. At Abbotsford BMX, we encourage a fun,
family-oriented atmosphere. Directions to the
track both indoor and outdoor are on the contact page. All dogs on a leash at
the outdoor track.
