Great Practice and Coaching Session in Abbotsford

The sun was shining, it was extremely warm but the kids were all lined up for another great practice and coaching session. A big thank you to Zach for stepping up and running the Club Coaching in Darien's absence. Last night we also had a couple of other people out there as well. The club would like to thank Billy Ratcliff and Jason Adams. Great job! Also thanks to everyone that came out on Sunday in the rain and cleaned up the straights. The track is looking might smooth.

A Great Windy Wednesday Night Racing in Abbotsford

Recycled Trophy Race was a hit!! We had 56 riders and 4 Half Trackers show up to take part in a very fun, but windy race!!! Billy Ratcliff was the big 50/50 Winner, as well Kylia Schellenberg, Nicole Wilson, and Trent Sheppard all took home Rider prizes!! The night ended with the always fun LeMans Race and cake for all!!  One of our newest riders Inderjit won an awesome Canada Gear Bag from the draw at the Canada Day Parade, and he rode in his first half track race. Way to go Inder!!!

Thanks for coming out to race!!!

Wednesday June 18th 2014 - Race Night!

What another fantastic night of racing at Abbotsford BMX!  We had 4 more NEW full track riders... sorry I didn’t get you with your 1st race trophies – but proud parents and friends, feel free to post them right up on the facebook page for all to see!  There was tough competition on all fronts, including the half track! WE also had a MAIN again in our 7 Novice category with Gryphin Smid taking the win and Tyson Schellenberg in close 2nd! Rumour has it that Gryphin may be moving up next week? J The 6 novice class may be smaller but the competition was just as fierce as Sydney McIntosh took the win in the first round, Jordan Pare took the win in the 2nd round and then Justin Trefry  took it in the 3rd.... when the dust settled, it was GIRL power all the way with Sydney taking the overall win for the night! Team Paul was out in full force tonight in the older guys cruiser class... (even with their own reserved parking spots)  and I was pleasantly surprised that Brad Snider decided to keep on the track through the whole race ... lol... the were two races going on in that class during the last round with Paul Knight and Brad Snider head to head for 1st and 2nd  and farther back on the track, but non the less impressive, was the race for 3rd and 4th between Kevin Zilcosky and Dean Chalmers-Owega!  Be sure to check out the full results on the results tab!

Congrats to our Rider Draw Winners: Justin Trefry, Dean Chalmers-Owega and Natasha Zilcosky!

Our 50/50 Winner – Lish Lackovic,  wants to thank the 50/50 girls for their hard work – Jordan and Keanna  and their helpers!

And other than thanking all the volunteers that put racing together and made it fun, we have to give props (Bragging Rights) to Colby Baxter for earning tonights win on the Le Mans race... once again the most popular race of the night!
